Biggest 3 Onion Competition Winner Dave Pilcher

Report

After a scare at the beginning of the season where most of the onions on the allotment looked very shrivelled and possibly diseased, after a lot of rain they all perked up and a good crop was had by all. The winner with  3 onions weighing in at a very respectable 1420 gms. was Dave Pilcher, with Mike Hawksworth coming second and Jo Harlow third. A number of the allotment holders enjoyed a very pleasant afternoon at the Pea Pod after a lunchtime picnic in the warm Autumn sunshine.
